Frequently Asked Questions

How long does credentialing typically take with Headway?
Most providers complete credentialing in approximately 2–4 weeks. Headway manages the process with major commercial payers so clinicians can begin seeing referred clients once approved.
Is in-person work required, or can the role remain fully remote?
The majority of sessions occur via telehealth. Occasional in-person appointments can be arranged according to client needs and the clinician’s preference; no mandatory on-site schedule is required.
Does Headway provide malpractice insurance or must providers arrange their own?
Not specified in the available posting. Candidates should confirm current malpractice coverage requirements and any platform support options directly with Headway during onboarding.
How are new clients matched and what control does the clinician have over caseload growth?
Headway refers clients seeking in-network care based on the provider’s stated availability, expertise, and preferences. Clinicians set their own session limits and can scale volume at their own pace.

Licensed Professional Counselor in Yonkers, NY

This Licensed Professional Counselor role through Headway places New York–licensed clinicians in an outpatient telehealth-focused practice model centered on the Yonkers and greater Westchester community. Providers retain full clinical independence while the platform manages insurance paneling, claims, and administrative workflows. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes and address common outpatient concerns such as anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and life transitions among adolescents and adults. The flexible 20–40 hour structure suits counselors who prefer to control caseload size and schedule without building a traditional private-practice infrastructure from scratch. Credentialing support and integrated documentation tools further reduce non-clinical burden, allowing attention to remain on therapeutic work within a growing local demand for accessible behavioral health services.
