📋 Clinical Responsibilities

  • Obtain detailed histories, perform physical examinations, and develop care plans for OB/GYN patients
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, fetal heart rate tracings, and non-stress tests
  • Provide comprehensive patient counseling and education throughout the prenatal and postpartum periods
  • Attend uncomplicated vaginal deliveries and assist with cesarean sections
  • Participate in day/night and weekend call rotation at the affiliated hospital
  • Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies in the ER setting as needed

✅ Qualifications

Education

Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Midwifery program

Certification

Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) through AMCB

License

Active or eligible New York State RN and CNM license

Experience

Prior midwifery experience preferred; new graduates with strong OB background considered

DEA

Eligible for DEA registration

Additional

Current BLS and NRP certifications required
