Responsibilities

  • Obtain detailed obstetric and gynecologic histories, perform physical examinations, and develop individualized care plans.
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, fetal heart rate tracings, and non-stress tests.
  • Attend uncomplicated vaginal deliveries and assist with cesarean sections at the affiliated hospital.

  • Participate in shared day, night, and weekend call rotation and manage obstetric or gynecologic emergencies in the ER setting as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must meet New York State licensure standards and hold current national certification. Strong obstetric clinical preparation is valued; prior independent midwifery experience is preferred but not mandatory for new graduates.
