Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living while supporting independence and dignity.
  • Respond to resident calls and emergency alerts; report care concerns, incidents, or changes to appropriate nursing staff or leadership.
  • Complete assigned housekeeping duties in resident apartments, common areas, and dining spaces.
  • Escort residents to meals and activities and support participation in community programs.
  • Document resident status, interventions, incidents, and relevant changes in the daily log and clinical record.
  • Assist new residents during move-in transitions and provide appropriate emotional and practical support.

CNAs also assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
