Location & Practice Overview

The position is based at the Fresenius Kidney Care clinic at 3100 W Central Ave Ste 100, Toledo, OH 43606. This is a freestanding outpatient center that provides scheduled in-center hemodialysis and related kidney care services.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments and document findings in the medical record.
• Provide and coordinate safe hemodialysis care for assigned patients alongside patient care technicians and other staff.
• Administer medications as ordered or according to approved protocols and record effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families about treatment, self-care, and available modality options including transplant.
• Oversee laboratory collection, processing, and shipping, and reschedule incomplete draws when needed.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and assist with emergency measures as required.

The nurse also updates the plan of care with the interdisciplinary team and may support orientation of new staff after completing required training.

Qualifications & Requirements

This is an entry-level CAP 1 role open to registered nurses who are new to nephrology. Dialysis experience is not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay is listed as an annual range. New hires receive paid training before taking a full patient assignment.
