Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses within ARNP scope of practice, monitor treatment progress, and refer to other providers when necessary.
  • Provide diagnosis and treatment for non-work-related conditions that require limited follow-up and fall under ARNP scope.
  • Conduct fitness-for-duty evaluations and screening, determining modified duty, work restrictions, unable-to-work status, and return-to-work protocols.
  • Coordinate care and case management, collaborating with medical consultants, rehabilitation providers, attorneys, the employee’s supervisor, and the employee.
  • Order and interpret laboratory studies and X-rays as indicated, apply splints or immobilizers, and initiate ACLS protocols when equipment and clinical judgment allow.

Documentation of clinical activities and support for departmental quality standards are expected components of daily work.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must maintain eligibility to participate in the Medicare program and provide documentation of privileges permitted by licensure.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree and postgraduate training in a clinical specialty required
Certification & License
Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with state authority for advanced practice; current Maryland Board of Nursing license
Experience
Two years of clinical experience strongly preferred
Additional Requirement
Copy of privileges permitted by licensure must be provided

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time exempt position. Benefits begin on the date of hire for eligible employees and dependents where applicable.
