Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid assessment and stabilization for patients presenting with trauma, injury, or acute medical conditions.
  • Identify life-threatening problems and initiate immediate interventions following established protocols.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments while continuously monitoring patient responses.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, aligned interventions.
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation in the facility’s electronic medical record system and support patients and families with clear education during high-stress encounters.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must hold active credentials that allow immediate contribution to a high-acuity emergency department and meet California licensure standards before the assignment begins.

Education
Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited program
License
Active California RN license or willingness to obtain prior to start
Experience
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Required Certifications
Current BLS and ACLS
Preferred Certifications
PALS, TNCC, and STABLE
