Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor critically ill and premature newborns, identifying changes and documenting conditions and responses.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved neonatal nursing techniques.
  • Operate and manage advanced NICU equipment such as ventilators, CPAP machines, and infusion pumps.
  • Assist with life-saving and diagnostic neonatal procedures, including umbilical line placement and intubation.
  • Educate and support parents on neonatal care, including feeding techniques and developmental care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans while following infection-control and safety protocols.
