📋 Job Responsibilities
- Deliver urgent and emergent clinical care to Veterans in the Emergency Department
- Work variable shift assignments including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Teach and supervise UCSF medical students, residents, and other trainees
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners in the Emergency Department
- Triage all transfer requests to the Emergency Department
- Admit patients to specialty or medicine inpatient services as appropriate

Valid California medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
Experience
Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine; prior ED experience preferred

DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)

Eligible for VA appointment and UCSF joint appointment; strong teaching and communication skills
