Aesthetic Medical Assistant in San Francisco, CA

An Aesthetic Medical Assistant in a San Francisco medical aesthetics clinic works at the intersection of clinical support and client service. Unlike a Medical Assistant role in primary care or acute settings, this position focuses on elective, appointment-based visits for non-surgical skin and body care. Daily work centers on preparing treatment spaces, assisting providers with client readiness, and supporting a smooth visit experience before and after procedures. Candidates moving from traditional medical offices will find a different pace and emphasis: more attention to client comfort, product knowledge, and coordinated flow among aesthetic specialists rather than diagnostic workups or acute triage. The role remains support-focused—the assistant does not independently perform injectables or other aesthetic procedures. For Medical Assistants interested in the aesthetics field, the position offers a clear clinical-support path within an outpatient med-spa environment in San Francisco.
