Daily Nursing Practice in Rehabilitation

As a Registered Nurse on our inpatient rehab unit, you will provide direct hands-on care while coordinating multidisciplinary treatment plans that help patients regain independence after serious illness or injury. Your day includes performing thorough assessments, administering medications, managing complex wounds, and educating patients and families on recovery strategies they can continue at home.

  • Lead patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Supervise nursing care delivery and delegate to support staff
  • Collaborate closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists
  • Address patient and family concerns with empathy and clarity
  • Document progress toward rehabilitation goals in real time

✅ Qualifications

Education

Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program

License

Active, unrestricted RN license in California

Certification

Current BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred)

Experience

One year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred; acute care or med-surg experience considered

Additional

CRRN certification preferred but not required at time of hire

  • Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with weekend rotation
