Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, or exacerbations of chronic disease under preceptorship.
  • Order evidence-based testing, prescribe medications, and refer patients to outside specialists as needed.
  • Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT examinations and treatment of workers’ compensation injuries.
  • Conduct pre-participation physicals for camps, sports, and employment.
  • Maintain accurate patient charts and document encounters comprehensively in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with urgent care teams while receiving ongoing mentorship from experienced NP and PA faculty.

Clinical work occurs under direct one-on-one preceptorship with Urgent Care Clinical Faculty.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must hold the required national certification and Illinois licensure for practice as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner.
