Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze patient data systematically before, during, and after each hemodialysis session, documenting results and adjusting the treatment plan as indicated.
  • Coordinate and deliver all components of safe daily hemodialysis therapy for the assigned patient group while collaborating with Patient Care Technicians and other team members.
  • Administer prescribed medications or those authorized under approved algorithms and record justification plus observed effectiveness.
  • Evaluate basic learning needs of patients and families and provide education on treatment options, including transplant awareness.
  • Respond to emergencies, oversee accurate laboratory specimen collection and processing, and reschedule incomplete collections when necessary.
