Allpro Homecare is looking for CNAs and PCAs to provide non-medical support in private homes across Norfolk and nearby communities. Caregivers work one-on-one with veterans under individual service plans. This is home-based work only—no facility or clinic shifts.

What You’ll Actually Do

Duties follow each client’s service plan and can differ from one home to the next. Typical day-to-day work includes:

  • Offering companionship and simple emotional support so the client doesn’t feel isolated.
  • Helping with safe transfers and walking—using a cane, walker, wheelchair, or Hoyer Lift only when the care plan calls for it.
  • Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting (including bedpan use when needed).
  • Planning and preparing meals, and encouraging the client to help when they are able.
  • Doing light housekeeping around the client’s living areas and notifying the office right away if anything unusual or urgent comes up.

Who They’re Looking For

You’ll need current Virginia credentials and real caregiving experience. Specifically:

At least one year as a caregiver in a hospital, nursing home, facility, or home-care agency

Must clear a Virginia State Police background check plus required reference checks

Pay and Benefits

The hourly rate is $18–$20. Pay is deposited weekly by direct deposit.

  • Policy-year maximum benefit up to $5,000, plus an extra accident benefit of up to $5,000 per accident
