Responsibilities

  • Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor progression.
  • Provide coaching and support to mothers during delivery.
  • Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal births, cesarean sections, and related procedures.
  • Perform newborn assessments immediately after birth and support initial transition care.
  • Support breastfeeding initiation and provide education to new parents.
  • Document all stages of labor, delivery, and recovery accurately in the medical record.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must hold a current RN license and demonstrate recent Labor and Delivery experience. New York licensure is preferred; assistance is available for eligible applicants.

BLS, ACLS, NRP
