This Licensed Practical Nurse position is based at Inspir Carnegie Hill, a 23-story senior living community on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The community operates assisted living, enhanced care, and memory care programs under an integrated care approach.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver nursing care within LPN scope, including catheter care, wound care, dressing changes, nebulizer treatments, ostomy care, and management of medical equipment.
  • Manage and administer medications, including oral medications, injections, and PRN medications, and assist residents with self-administration when appropriate.
  • Supervise the care provided by Home Health Aides and Resident Care Aides.
  • Document care and services provided to residents in the electronic health record using nursing best practices and documentation standards.
  • Report observed significant incidents or changes in a resident’s condition to Nursing Leadership (Charge RN), the Primary Care Provider, and family as indicated.
  • Assist with training, orientation, coaching, and mentoring of Resident Care staff and support scheduling as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse licensed to practice in New York and meet one of the clinical experience pathways below, along with basic first aid and CPR certification.

Associate degree and a minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience in nursing, at least one year of which shall be in a home health care agency, hospital, skilled nursing facility, or community health program that included care of the sick at home
Experience Pathway B
A diploma or associate degree in nursing and at least four years of full-time clinical experience in nursing within the past ten years, at least one year of which shall be in a home health care agency, hospital, skilled nursing facility, or community health program that included care of the sick at home
Certifications
Basic first aid and CPR certification
Preferred
Experience in assisted living, post-acute, or long-term care setting; experience with and/or special interest in working with seniors

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is paid hourly. A benefits package is available for full-time employees.
