📋 Clinical Duties in the Emergency Department

Physicians in this role provide high-quality acute care across our Suffolk County emergency departments. You will manage a wide variety of cases while working alongside a supportive team in a collaborative environment.

  • Rapid assessment and stabilization of patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions
  • Effective communication with patients, families, and consulting specialists
  • Coordination of care with hospitalists, intensivists, and outpatient providers
  • Participation in quality improvement initiatives and department meetings
  • Supervision and teaching of residents and advanced practice providers where applicable

Education

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board Certification

Board certified or board prepared in Emergency Medicine

License

Current or eligible New York State medical license

Experience

Completion of accredited Emergency Medicine residency; experienced candidates preferred

Valid DEA registration
