Responsibilities

  • Collect patient assessment data and report actual or potential problems to the appropriate nurse on an ongoing basis
  • Record patient information concisely, accurately, and completely
  • Administer medications and perform treatments and procedures for assigned patients
  • Assist with preparation of patient materials or correspondence used by RNs, ARNPs, or MDs and support preoperative and postoperative health teaching for patients and families
