Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents on the inpatient unit, including review of histories with medical, therapy, and nursing colleagues.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that combine medication management, psychotherapy elements, and family participation while accounting for co-occurring medical conditions.
  • Deliver crisis intervention for acute episodes and adjust interventions based on ongoing clinical monitoring.
  • Coordinate care with therapists, nurses, social workers, and other professionals through case reviews and team meetings.
  • Educate families about diagnoses and treatment approaches and advise them on supporting the child’s recovery.
  • Supervise and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students; contribute to teaching rounds and divisional educational activities.

Additional duties include supporting divisional patient safety and quality standards and providing urgent or emergent care consistent with clinical privileges.

Qualifications & Requirements
