This LPN position is based at Memphis Youth Academy, a 68-bed residential treatment center for boys ages 13 to 18 in Memphis, Tennessee. The program provides services 24 hours a day, seven days a week and combines on-site nursing with intensive, trauma-informed mental health treatment, education, life-skills development, and therapeutic programming.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents and monitor for therapeutic response, reactions, or side effects.
• Conduct intake physical health assessments and screenings for youth entering the residential program.
• Document medical histories, nursing observations, treatments, and health information accurately in resident records.
• Provide basic first aid and respond appropriately to medical concerns and emergency situations within the facility.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatric providers, and behavioral health staff to coordinate resident care.
• Communicate relevant health information with guardians, case managers, and outside agencies while following applicable health regulations and treatment protocols.

The LPN provides hands-on nursing support inside a structured youth residential program, balancing medication safety, physical health assessment, documentation, urgent response, and communication with the multidisciplinary treatment team.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must maintain an active Tennessee LPN license and current CPR/BLS certification and be able to meet the clinical, screening, transportation, and physical requirements associated with residential care for adolescents.

Compensation & Benefits
