Working as a Medical Assistant in a Houston Urogynecology Practice

In an outpatient specialty practice focused on female pelvic medicine, a Medical Assistant serves as the operational link between the patient and the clinical team. The work combines rooming and examination support with laboratory specimen handling, procedure assistance, and the coordination of diagnostic and surgical appointments. Because visits often address sensitive pelvic and gynecologic concerns, clear documentation and respectful communication are essential. This Houston-based role at the Women’s Pelvic & Restorative Center places that combination of clinical and organizational responsibility inside a dedicated urogynecology setting rather than a general primary-care office, giving Medical Assistants structured exposure to specialty ambulatory workflows while remaining under physician direction and established protocols.
