Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive evidence-based perinatal care through secure telehealth platforms in collaboration with partner clinics.
  • Conduct virtual preconception, prenatal, antenatal, and postpartum consultations through one year postpartum, including assessments, risk stratification, follow-up, and chronic disease management.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage low- to moderate-risk obstetric conditions within APRN scope of practice; collaborate with consulting physicians and specialists for high-risk cases.
  • Order, interpret, and manage laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies; prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with Texas APRN regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation across multiple partner EMR systems and ensure coding and billing practices meet payer and telehealth requirements.
  • Provide proactive care coordination, screen for medical, behavioral health, and social drivers of health, facilitate referrals, and support transitions of care between telehealth, local clinics, hospitals, and specialty providers.

Additional duties include participating in outreach, assisting with new partner site onboarding, supporting quality improvement, and contributing clinical expertise to program activities as assigned.

Clinical Experience
Four years of related clinical experience in obstetrics as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, including experience managing and collaborating on high-risk pregnancies in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, telehealth practices, and electronic fetal monitoring
State License
Active and unrestricted APRN license in the State of Texas
Board Certification
Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC)
Required Certifications
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
