Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze patient data systematically before, during, and after each treatment session, then document findings and modify the plan when indicated.
  • Oversee and deliver all aspects of safe hemodialysis therapy for the assigned patient group while coordinating with direct-care and ancillary staff.
  • Administer medications according to prescriptions or approved algorithms and record clinical justification plus observed effectiveness.
  • Evaluate patient and family learning needs and deliver both initial and ongoing education on therapy and self-management.
  • Verify laboratory collection, processing, and shipping accuracy and arrange replacements for missed or inadequate samples.
