Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual patient assessments, review medical histories, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, including buprenorphine for opioid use disorder.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests to guide clinical decisions.
  • Document encounters thoroughly in the EMR to support continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff on coordinated patient management.

Clinical work centers on building ongoing therapeutic relationships through secure video and phone visits.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must hold active credentials that support multi-state virtual practice and controlled-substance prescribing where applicable.

Education
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Board Status
Board certified or eligible in primary care, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or addiction medicine
State Licensure
Active medical license in at least 3 states (preferably 5+), with priority for CA, FL, NC, PA, TX; willingness to obtain additional licenses
DEA Registration
Active DEA registration required
Experience
Telehealth or high-volume clinical experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is structured on a per-consult basis under a 1099 independent contractor model, with earnings driven by volume and availability.
