Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with varied diagnoses and multiple comorbidities.
  • Perform ongoing clinical assessments and prioritize care based on patient acuity.
  • Manage post-operative recovery, medication administration, and monitoring for conditions such as pneumonia, CHF exacerbations, and diabetes.
  • Coordinate care through clear handoffs and participation in multidisciplinary rounds with hospitalists and support staff.
  • Document patient status and interventions accurately in the facility EMR system.
