Responsibilities

  • Deliver perioperative anesthesia for general pediatric surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, and plastic and reconstructive procedures.
  • Provide anesthesia for select neonatal surgeries and complex congenital cases.
  • Support off-site anesthesia needs for MRI, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization.
  • Teach residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists through didactic lectures and hands-on training.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and mentor trainees and junior faculty.

Candidates must hold the core credentials required for independent practice in pediatric anesthesiology within New York State and an academic medical center setting.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is commensurate with academic rank. Additional compensation is available for call and overtime.

  • Annual base salary range of $391,000–$428,000
  • Sign-on bonus of $45,000
  • Pediatric pager call compensation of approximately $25,000 plus additional pay when called in
  • Multiple overtime opportunities for further earnings
